
Icon Agency is seeking a Pre-Departure and Settlement Services Officer to lead impactful work under the Pacific Engagement Visa Support Service, helping communities across the Pacific prepare for life in Australia.

At ICON we believe communications can change lives. We’re seeking a Pre Departure and Settlement Services Officer to lead the delivery of pre-departure support under the Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) initiative.
This is a rare opportunity to use your skills to support new arrivals as they begin their journey in Australia, while collaborating with government, corporate, and community partners.
Ideally this role will be based out of our Melbourne office, however we are also open to Sydney, Brisbane and Canberra-based candidates.
What you’ll do
- Deliver pre-departure and settlement services across the Pacific and Timor-Leste
- Develop and deliver resources, briefings, and training for in-country teams
- Collaborate with both program partners and government stakeholders
- Deliver engaging webinars and workshops to help people prepare for their departure to and life in Australia
- Provide tailored support to PEV holders about access to services in Australia
- Provide advice on people movement challenges and barriers to settlement.
About you
You’re an experienced professional with a strong background in migrant, pre-departure, and settlement services, ideally from government, NGO, or corporate settings. A background in social work would be very beneficial for this role.
You bring:
- Deep understanding of the migrant journey and its challenges
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Confidence in managing stakeholders in complex, multi-country projects
- Strong organisational and project governance skills
- A collaborative mindset and cultural sensitivity.
