Icon Agency wins two gold at 2022 PR Awards Asia

Icon has brought home gold from PR Awards Asia 2022.

Our Managing Director Joanne Painter won ‘PR Agency Head of the Year’ and our integrated marketing campaign with Acorn Strategy, titled ‘Blue Sky Dreaming: Australia’s Expo 2020 Dubai’, won gold.

Expo 2020 Dubai was a testament to the team’s hard work and leadership to bring to life an event that showcases the diversity of cultures around the globe, despite the challenges of COVID-19.

The Australian Pavilion was visited 1.6 million times and hosted 30 million virtual tours. Overall, the campaign achieved a total reach of 3.9 billion through print and online media coverage and generated 13 million social media impressions.

Joanne’s win reflects her strong leadership, tireless work and exciting vision for Icon. She has shaped the organisation and continues to drive our purpose-driven strategy. Our award-winning work wouldn’t be possible without her.
